ABOUT

My name is Lucia Gašparidesová

I am a fashion designer based in Scotland, with Slovakian origins.

My passion for designing came into my life when I was 9 years old. Initially my grandad was the main influence behind the scenes. He always supported me to be creatively productive.

He hated Tv screens and rather wanted me to focus on my own imagination.

Prolong would not exist without him that’s for sure.

MISSION

Prolong’s main mission is to give a second chance to all unwanted garments and prevent them from going to landfills.

By doing so there are beautifully made products one of their kind. It is vital to take full responsibility for the pollution that has been created by mass-production in fashion industry. To me unwanted clothing have a huge potential for creating truly unique products that stand out.

Prolong is a story where you get to see how something unwanted can be turned into a brand new and unique beauty.

Prolong is a brand that is all about innovation, creativity, and sustainability. As a fashion designer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for environmental conservation, I am focused on creating upcycled fashion that is both stylish, timeless but also sustainable (upcycling= turning clothing into items with a new purpose of the use).

With Prolong, you can be sure that you are getting high-quality, ethically-produced products that are made with planet in mind without any greenwashing in your face. If you want to make authentic statement with your fashion choices and want to contribute to more sustainable Earth, choose Prolong.

VISION

This is a place the waste becomes a tool for a new evolved future.

Overall vision is fuelled by curiosity, creativity and determination to solve the problems of climate change.

Imagine there is a second life for all of your possessions and it’s up to you, if you will allow it to become a “second chapter” in somebody’s wardrobe rather than ending up at the landfill.

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure…
